The Music Institute is holding a symposium titled "The Present State and Vision of Korean Music heading towards Globalization" on June 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the EITI Convention Hall of the Ewha-SK Telecom Building. The speakers are Prof. Lee Jin-won of Korean National U. of Arts, Prof. Moon Jae-sook of Ewha Womans U. and Prof. Kim Dong-suk of UCLA. They will each be giving lectures on Tungso music, China bamboo flute instruments, gayageum san-jo, and the present condition of Korean music education in America.
