Ewha Korean Women’s Institute and Swedish Institute held the “Innovative Sweden Gender Forum: Gender Equality, Welfare State and Social Innovation” at the LG Convention Hall in the International Education Building on Nov. 20. The forum provided an opportunity for audiences to contemplate on the possibility of a new economy based innovation and creativity, as well as importance of having perspective on gender equality and welfare state. The forum was conducted under two themes: the first panel of “Welfare State and Gender Equality Model” was presided by Kim Eun-mee, dean of Graduate School of International Studies, and the second panel of “Innovative Female Entrepreneurial Spirit: Role of Policy, Arts and Culture” was presided by Oh Jin-kyeong, director of Ewha Womans University Museum.
