Ewha School of Business acquired the Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business International (AACSB) accreditation on Aug. 2. The accreditation is the world’s most prestigious certificate in business studies, which has been an international standard to validate eminent business schools since 1919 it first adopted the AACSB accreditation standards to improve collegiate business education.
Until now, 596 the most authoritative business schools in 37 countries including Harvard, Stanford and Yale received the accreditation.
Ewha became the first women’s university in the world to acquire accreditation in all business schools: undergraduate, graduate school of Business Administration, doctoral program, and all MBA courses.Ewha was estimated highly in every 21 sectors of evaluation, requiring a high quality teaching environment, a commitment to continuous improvement, and curricula responsive to the needs of business. Especially, Ewha was praised for its intimacy between students and professors through the mentor system, classes in regular curriculum where global companies’ CEOs give lecture, and its contribution in training female leaders in the business fields.

With these merits Ewha acquired the accreditation in two and a half year marking high score. Considering it normally takes about five to seven years to receive the accreditation, Ewha made a remarkable record in both score and time.
