Before moving the dormitory to the Hanwoori Hall, the former dormitory - Billingsley Hall - was located in the area currently occupied by the Ewha-POSCO Building. The Billingsley Building was built in March 1958 and was completed the following year due to the increasing number of students inside the dormitory coming from local districts.
