The school has launched a new educational service in October called “Korea Massive Open Online Course (K-MOOC),” where students can take free online lectures. A total of four lectures from Ewha are available on the website along with other courses from nine different universities. Students who take online courses will receive a certificate from Ewha if they pass certain standards on quizzes or assignments. Aside from K-MOOC, in 2013, the school opened a free online course service for the first time in Korea through “iTunes U.”
