President of IBM Korea, Shirley Yu-Tsui, gave a lecture under the title of “Technology Development & Future Society” at Room B101 in the Ewha-Shinsegae Building on May 28. The lecture consisted of three main topics: consumer activated enterprise as a future model of business, technological shifts and cognitive computing. Yu-Tsui emphasized influence of consumers on individual firms. Big data, cloud computing and system of engagement were also highlighted as technological shifts that innovate enterprises. Students had an opportunity to listen to anecdotes about Watson, an artificial intelligence computer system created by IBM.
