Ewha’s advertising slogan is “Ewha, waking up the morning of Innovation.” Along with the slogan, a whole view of the Ewha Campus Complex (ECC) was inserted as the background photo of the commercial.
The advertisement tried to deliver the message of Ewha’s promise and plan to meet the global era’s demands and to adapt to rapidly changing educational environment.
The image of dawn symbolizes the current circumstance of Korean universities, and the photo was delivering a message that Ewha should wake up from dawn and jump to the next level.
ChosunIlbo Advertising Awards consists of 12 sections including university, finance and cosmetics. Each part evaluates how marketing skills and creativity are expressed in ads posted on ChosunIlbo and selected the best among them according to the standards mentioned earlier. This year, 81 advertisements competed in 12 parts.
President Choi briefly shared her thoughts after receiving first prize.
“Ewha’s past 128 years of history was full of challenge,” president Choi said. “We wanted to express Ewha’s spirit of challenge which was even regarded more precious during hard times.”
