Ewha will open and run King Sejong Institute (KSI) in September at University of Iowa located in Iowa City, the United States. In cooperation with University of Iowa, Ewha will contribute to the diffusion of Korean language and culture in the central United States. Out of 70 universities and institutes, 17 were newly selected to run the KSI. Selected as a new partner, Ewha obtained approval to establish and operate the institute in University of Iowa, the sixth King Sejong Institute founded in the United States. As an operating agency, Ewha will be in charge of the domestic administration which includes the overall management of the institute and plans to aid the local education system by dispatching Korean teachers and running a Korean language and culture education program.
