Ewha held opening ceremony of Business Incubator at the second floor of University Industry Cooperation Building (UICB) on May 14.
President Kim Sun-uk, Sohn Hong-Gyoo (Head of Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation),  Kim Hyung-ho (Head of Small and Medium Business Administration)  , Hong Sang Pyo (Head of Korea Creative Content Agency) and other related people attended the event.
“Ewha has excellent facility, professionals and research centers to lead the fields such as design, digital media contents, clothes and MICE (Meeting, incentive, convention and exhibition),” president Kim said.
Business Incubator will be running programs for those who opened up business for no longer than three years. As a supporting institution, it will be providing facilities, places and overall information in the field of business and technology for starters.
Especially to help Ewha students to be more encouraged in business startups, Business Incubator will provide a lot more benefits. For prospective enterprisers and those who are in startup related clubs, rooms are provided free.
The center, a total of 3,005 square metre wide and has 35 business rooms of 43~174 square metre,  is located in the first floor of the University Industry Cooperation Building that was newly completed in December 2013.
“It is very meaningful that Ewha is providing a place where prospective starters can freely open up their dreams,” Hong said. “I hope Business Incubator can develop as a representative of young women founders.”
