The 42nd election for the Student Government Association (SGA) of Ewha will take place on November 25 and 26. The three parties running for the election are Real Ewha, Reset Ewha and Ewha We Can Plus.

Real Ewha consists of Jung Yoon-ji (Law, 3) as its president candidate and Shin You-jin (Sculpture, 2) as its vice-president candidate. They pledges include maintaining a freeze on tuition fees and promoting a "Sinchon Festival", an event planned in collaboration withSogangUniversity ’s election candidate. They plan to enhance communication with the students by issuing a monthly magazine.

“We will work on becoming a real student government that students want,” said Jung.

Reset Ewha consists of Lee Kyung-jin (English, 4) as its president candidate and Jung Na-wee (Sociology, 3) as its vice-president candidate. They propose to expand scholarships, organize an Ewha welfare team, start a credit accumulation system and rearrange the space in the Ewha Campus Complex (ECC).

“The SGA should continuously communicate with students about their needs and wants rather than focus on the apparent results,” said Lee.

Ewha We Can Plus consists of Cho Seong-sil (Political Science, 4) as its president candidate and Lee Ga-eun (Christian Studies, 4) as its vice-president candidate. They propose to provide a new study abroad system apart from the existing study abroad programs, launch a mobile student ID card system and create a Sinchon studying zone, a pledge they collaborated withYonseiUniversity ’s election candidate.

“We will do our best, instead of being tied up in winning this election. Without wrapping it up, we will pursue this campaign passionately,” said Cho.
