The 2009 Nobel Forum was held at LG Convention Hall on May 26 hosted by Chosun Ilbo, a Korean newspaper, and sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. George F. Smoot, the 2006 Nobel Prize winner in Physics, and Louis J. Ignarro, the 1998 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology, gave speeches under the theme of Global Collaborative Research and Innovation of Higher Education.
