The BPRC-UNESCO International Forum on Bioethics and Asian Culture was held from July 29 to July 30 in rm. 231 of the Law Building. The forum was to discuss important issues concerning bioethics in Asian culture and to seek an appropriate bioethics policies and system in each country. A total of 22 speakers from seven different countries including China, Japan and India came to present their thoughts on several different topics related to the issue. Ewha Institute for Biomedical Law & Ethics supervised the forum in conjunction with Bioethics Policy Research Center (BPRC), and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and President Lee Bae-yong delivered the opening remark.
