Professor Jang Yeon-soon (Arts) was selected as an Artist of the Year 2008 by National Museum of Contemporary Art. The purpose of this selection is to encourage artists to be more creative, and to make it easier for public to approach contemporary art. Her work was recognized as expressing unique Korean characteristics by using textile materials such as gauze hemp clothes.
