Prof. Kim Kwan-mook (Nano Sciences) and Park Hyun-jeong (Nano Sciences, 1) developed a synthetic technology that converts L-amino acid into D-amino acid. This research team is the first to develop a technology that produces D-amino acid in Korea. This technology will not only induce a ripple effect in Korea but in the world as well. This thesis was published last January in the Journal of American Chemical Society and the world renowned science journal, Science, as a highlight in the chemistry section on Feb. 26.
