Ewha to open women-friendly science program

   Ewha plans to launch a science program that allows student to complete bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees all in eight years. The course, which is shorter than the general 10-year doctorate course, is expected to encourage more female scientists and engineers to pursue doctoral degrees. The plan was announced by President Lee Bae-yong at her first anniversary presidency celebration on August 9.
