Ewha held the 16th Kim Okgill Memorial Lecture at Lee San-Bong Hall in the Ewha Campus Complex on Nov. 17. Under the theme “The Future of Women and the Research University,” the program dealt with topics such as the various identities of universities and the role of women within such institutions. The lecture was given by Robert Gibbs, a philosophy professor at the University of Toronto and the director of the Jackman Humanities Institute. Participants were able to contemplate upon the significance of research universities along with Ewha’s ideals in women education.
