Ewha conferred an honorary Women’s Studies doctorate to Ban Ki-moon, the current Secretary-General of the United Nations. The awarding ceremony was held at Kim Young Ui Hall in the Music Building on May 20. The previous prime minister Han Myeong-sook, the previous Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Song Min-soon, and diplomatic envoys from various countries attended the ceremony. During the event, Ban addressed the importance of investment in women.
