The Ewha Career Development Center (CDC) is holding a career forum for four sessions during the month of June to strengthen the employment rate for female university students and encourage their advancement into society. This forum is specially planned as a four-session series to differentiate it from the past one-session forums that were held on a massive scale.
The career forum invites human resource directors from about 60 companies in and outside Korea to provide an opportunity for students to exchange information about the kind of talent companies look for.
The forum aims to foster outstanding female workforce required at workplaces in society today, as participation in society from female employees is necessary to improve the national competence.
The forum is also expected to build a closer network and enhance cooperation between Ewha and other firms amidst students’ increasingly difficult employment.
Human resource directors in the financial field such as the Bank of America, Shinhan Bank and Samsung Securities spoke at the first forum that was held on June 4.
Human resource directors from the food and distribution industries, foreign companies and household item industries, manufacturing industries and IT (Information Technology) fields will speak at the following forums, respectively.
The career forum is held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Room B336 of the Ewha Campus Complex and the Ewha CDC is planning to hold more forums for various fields throughout the year. For more information, call (02) 3277-2050.
