The Centennial Library started a Biscuit rental service for students on Sept. 13. This service is available only for Ewha students at the Centennial Library delivery room. The Biscuit is an e-book reading device manufactured by Interpark INT, a large Internet bookshop in Korea, and is equipped with online functions, such as daily newspaper subscriptions and surfing online bookstores. Biscuits are free of networking charges by LG Telecom.

“Students will find more than a thousand e-books already downloaded on the device,” said the manager in charge of rental services at the library. “We will secure more high-quality books this year.”

The list of updated books is available on the library web site. The variety ranges from comics, Korean and foreign literature, self-help books, business, art and humanities

Students can rent Biscuits for 14 days and reservations or extensions are not allowed. Devices that are overdue will automatically stop operating and a late fee of 500 won will be charged daily.

Students should check available devices by typing “biscuit” on the library Web site (http://lib.ewha.ac.kr) before heading to the library.
