Chair-professor fo the Ewha Academy for Advanced Studies and the Nobel Prize Laureate in Physics, George Smoot gave his first lecture in Ewha entitled "The Beginning of the Universe" at the International Education Building on Mar. 27. As a world-reknown astrophysicist, Smoot recieved the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2006 for his work on cosmic background radiation and further confirming the origin of the universe.
